The longest totality on land this century: over six minutes of darkness near Luxor, Egypt. The Moon’s shadow crosses the Strait of Gibraltar, runs along the North African coast, then continues over Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the Horn of Africa near local midday, with the Sun high in the sky.
