Explore, record, explain.
Short astronomy activities built around things you can inspect in Space Time. Each sheet includes an objective, steps, room for notes, teacher guidance and sources. Open the free browser experience, then print the sheet or save it as a PDF from your browser.
Why does a reply from Voyager take so long?
Distinguish a calculated light-travel time from a reported radio contact.
5–10 min · Guided exploration · Printable sheet and teacher notes
The app uses a nearby Horizons position sample. Twice its one-way time is an estimate, not a measured command-response delay or communication schedule.

One mission, two spacecraft, three people
Use the Apollo 11 timeline and mission record to explain how the crew reunited.
10–15 min · Guided exploration · Printable sheet and teacher notes
The replay is an educational trajectory reconstruction. The mission record supports the historical sequence; camera motion and interpolated positions are not archival footage or direct telemetry.

Is a constellation really flat?
Compare an apparent sky pattern with catalog-derived stellar distances.
5–10 min · Guided exploration · Printable sheet and teacher notes
Constellation lines are viewing guides, not physical connections. A displayed point is a catalog-based estimate; visual depth is not proof of an exact stellar position.

Preparing a session
- Try the linked experience on the devices learners will use. The interactive scene needs WebGL; the sheets and source links can be read without it.
- Decide whether learners will work individually, in pairs or from one projected screen. The suggested durations are approximate, not age or curriculum certifications.
- Ask learners to label each result observed, calculated, reconstructed or unknown. Keep source dates with any recorded number.
- If live data is unavailable, record it as unavailable. Use the source discussion and supplied teacher notes rather than substituting invented measurements.
